Weather for the people
Science Sandbox @ New Lab is a Fellowship program supported by the Simons Foundation and housed at New Lab, a sprawling, multidisciplinary center for advanced technology located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The program provides a place for nurturing, building, and remixing science-based projects that connect research to society.
As a Fellow of Science Sandbox @ New Lab, I'm working on Weather for the People, a project that aims to reveal the beauty and complexity of weather. Ongoing activities of Weather for the People include installing weather stations around New York City, developing a one-man show called Storm in a Log File, and field research in Puerto Rico to document the silence from PR's weather observing infrastructure during Hurricane Maria.
